After two years on hiatus due to COVID, the 2022 Year-End Dinner returned and was held on October 26th at Jeter Mountain Farm – a 2022 grant recipient. Over 50 people were in attendance, including representation from 16 of the 37 projects, members of Cooperative Extension, WNC Communities and the NC Tobacco Trust Fund Commission.

Before the dinner, Tyler Hunsader (Jeter Mountain Farm) provided a tour of the farm by taking attendees through their apple orchards by hay wagon ride. Photographs from all the year’s projects were shared and each grant recipient had the chance to update the group on highlights from their 2022 projects.

A wonderful meal made from 2022 recipient’s farm products was prepared by Tina and Galen Tuten from Haywood County. Jeter Mountain Farm’s outside patio area provided an excellent venue for the return of this annual year-end event to celebrate the grant recipients’ hard work.
