In addition to selling fresh fruits and vegetables, McConnell Farms, an established diversified family farm, offers a wide range of value-added products including ice creams, jams, preserves, fruit butters, acetified foods, ciders, juices and donuts.
As their product line continues to grow, acquiring labels from a commercial printing company has become a complicated, expensive and time-consuming process. McConnell Farms will be purchasing an Afina Industrial Color Label Printer to move label production in-house.
In-house production of their own labels will reduce lead times and set-up fees, lower the cost per label, allow “on the fly” custom printing for multiple sizes, shapes and substrates, eliminate obsolete label inventory and will allow them to create their own private labeling of McConnell Farms products for B&Bs, tourist destinations, festivals and holidays.
Danny received AgOptions grants in 2004 and 2010, which have contributed to his success today.
