Building on a successful 2015 grant to expand the business, Sharry and Doug continue to grow their operation in order to produce more honey to meet growing demand and to increase profit margins.
The grant has allowed the business to purchase much needed honey processing equipment. They purchased a “cappings spinner,” which spins honey from the wax cappings to maximize honey extraction and a bottling tank to speed up the bottling process. The addition of a liquefier/wax melting tank will aid Sharry with the value added beeswax beauty products she creates and sells called Bee Naturally by Sharry.
The equipment will streamline the process, 
reduce labor and keep her operation sustainable for the future.
