Heritage Rabbits for Meat and Breeding Stock

Elizabeth, alongside her partner Scott Paquin, is establishing a heritage rabbit operation, with the construction of an open pole barn to house heritage breed rabbits, hay and seasonally Devon calves. She is also creating a website to sell all the products of Firefly Farm, the farm experience and heritage rabbit breed stock.
Elizabeth is producing the American, a breed that is in critical status for conservation. She will process them at the small animal processing facility opening in Marion, N.C. and sell the meat directly to her customers the spring of 2011. In addition to its CSA and tailgate market sales, Firefly Farm is opening its doors to the public once a week in 2010.
