$2,500 — Transport Produce
“I am a 4th generation tobacco farmer on the farm where I live. For the last ten years I have been trying to change from a tobacco only farm to include produce.” ~ Michael Coates

M. Coates and his wife Kim needed a road-worthy transport trailer for hauling produce to tailgate markets and wholesale markets. In addition to expanding their ability to haul their produce Michael used his grant funding to plant 100 blueberry plants next to the 3 new beehives for pollination.

Income expected to increase over the next harvest season.
